JULY 2008

Our annual 4th of July swimming party at my Aunt Karen's was a good time, with the diving board, slide, hot tub & homemade "dreamcicle" icecream. Sierra didn't want to stand still for a picture-hence "the pout". That night we did a couple little pops, sparklers, snakes etc.. at dusk-the sunset was beautiful! You can see the sun on Sierra's face despite her winter jammie attire :) Then we watched both the Davis High & Lagoon fireworks from grandma's window-it was amazing! Other than that we just broke full boar into summer with daily (well not quite-but close!) trips to Lagoon-we're going to get the use out of those dang passes! The kids favorite rides are puff the magic dragon, the garden swings, train and of course the water fountain feature. They usually get soaked, then cry all the way to the car because at this point of the day they are wasted, hungry and freezing from their soaked clothes. The remainder of the month we tried to spend lots of time outside biking, painting and playing in water (hoses, little pool etc.). It's sweet to have the time off of school and be all home together!
