DECEMBER 2008

I finished school the first week of December & have been free to roam about the cabin-I've been spending a day at each of the kids school, eating lunch with them & the whole deal. It's been so fun to get to see what they do each day, & meet the little people they're always talking about! Blake likes to run & play "monster" (me) when I come spend the day with him-for the top photo, he found a little tube on the playground to hide in. The kids love to make sugar cookies, roll em', cut em', frost em'. They always do a great job. It's been so fun to have snow this month & we've been out sledding several times. We ventured down to temple square to see the lights and took the Frontrunner (train) & tracks to get there. It was a fun little adventure but made me appreciate the comfort of my own car! It sure is convenient to zip right up to where you want to go & when you are done you get home so much quicker than having to make transfers & then wait for all the stops etc..! Especially when you're soaking wet! We had a nice little snowstorm the day of our SLC trek, check out the size of Sierra's snowball! We had another monumental event take place this month...Sierra stopped sucking her thumb! She did a great job once she set her mind to it. We had a celebration dinner at Pepper Belly's (yummy mexican!) & Sierra got her reward of a little mp3 player, we filled it up with Disney soundtracks, French for kids CD's we had, and of course a little Sarah McLachlan & Jack Johnson (don't know where she gets that from?). We had a great Christmas eve with the kids acting out the Nativity, Sierra really got into it & really loved on baby Jesus. Blake was a little more concerned with the huge wooden shephards hook that my mom provided. He's such a funny kid, give him a "weapon" & he morphs! He's really a good little dude he just loves to "kung fu" like his favorite panda! Blake & Sierra loved having my sister Andrea over for the Christmas eve festivities-they both sure love her! We had a great Christmas morning, Blake's main gift was a wooden train set, which he loved, & Sierra's was a baby doll that wets diapers-yay! & some Littlest Pet Shop plush toys. They seemed to enjoy everything but both said their favorite gift was the little musical electric guitars. We'll be rockin' in the New Year-yay for mommy-lol!
